# Peptide provider directory

Care questions in place of provider listings.

Use this guide to check peptide services you find elsewhere. It gives you questions to ask before choosing care; it does not list doctors or clinics to contact.

Care facts checked in September 2026.

Ask for the answer
in plain words.

## Start with what the medicine is

Picture tiny building blocks linked in a short string: that is a peptide. The same building blocks make proteins. Some medicines, including insulin, are peptides.

The word “peptide” alone settles neither safety nor lawful supply, as of September 2026.

Some are approved medicines; others are medicines made to order or products labelled for research.

Get the medicine’s full, exact name, then ask if you would receive a shot, a tablet or another form. Write down both answers.

Ask in your own words

What exactly are you proposing, and what kind of medicine is it?

## Put names ahead of promises

A health professional assessing you is your clinician. Start by asking who that person will be.

State medical boards make doctors’ licence details and records of action against them public.

For a custom-made medicine, also ask who makes it. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the federal medicine agency, points out that people receiving online care may not know who prepared their medicine.

Record the names of your clinician, pharmacy and medicine in one place. Those are useful starting points for a check.

Ask in your own words

Who will assess me, and what is the name of the pharmacy preparing or sending my medicine?

## Choose the next question

If the terms are new, start with medicine basics. If you already have an offer, begin with the licence check.

For a visit, take the question desk with you. For a price, ask for a full written bill before comparing it with another offer.

There is room to ask for a clearer answer. Write down what remains unclear before moving on.

## The sources behind these questions

### [FDA: why medicines are made to order](https://www.fda.gov/drugs/human-drug-compounding/compounding-and-fda-questions-and-answers)

Compounding means making medicine to order for a patient’s needs; the person preparing it is a pharmacist or doctor. This page explains how that differs from an approved medicine and who checks the pharmacy’s work.

### [Find the state medical board](https://www.fsmb.org/contact-a-state-medical-board/)

Use this board directory to reach the public records for the doctor’s licence. The board’s own record is the place to continue the check.
